There's hope...

I refuse to watch the news.

It makes me squirmy inside to hear all the negatives that exist in our world. Rarely do we see heart warming stories, because let's face it; tragedy gets more viewers. And I see enough of that on a daily basis, the brokeness, the ugliness, the hurting and hungry. I hear it preached in pulpits, christian radio, end time prophesiers....yes, we know. The world, the system, it's broken and it's getting worse. 

But there is hope. There is beauty. So much that is whole and good and lovely.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.  Phillipians 4:8

Mary and Joseph had every reason to lose their hope. Pregnant, without a place to stay, and in labor...their plight was hard and the events surrounding it..harder. And yet hope found them in the form of a tiny baby boy's cry. He was goodness and love and hope all wrapped up in one. He might have been the Hope Of The World, but that day He was simply the hope of Mary and Joseph, that God had done what He said He would do.

Hope is coming. 

He is coming.
