Love and Chicken

All I've got to say about Chick-Fil-A {which I eat, support, and love} and our GLBT brethren is this.

We need to love others enough to let them be who they are, where they are. This may mean {shock of all shockers} letting those off the hook who want to take a day and support CFA, and accepting those who do not.

It also means trusting that the God of the Universe can do His job--changing hearts the same way He changed ours.

And while imparting truth to others is important, you cannot impart life changing truth without the platform of love and relationship {and just because you've got a facebook or twitter account and lots of time on your hands, doesn't necessarily give you that.} God does it that way and I think it's a good model to follow.

So eat your Chicken, or don't. It's your right either way. But do remember that behind all this hullabalou are real people with real feelings on all sides, every one of them worth all the love,  honor, and respect we can muster--even, and especially the ones we disagree with.

3“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
John 13

  1. A good word Alex... Challenging yet compassionate. It is where I landed in my post about the issues surrounding all this hullabaloo.
